If you are new to the game of golf congratulations you have found one of the greatest sports to not only test your skills but also your mental toughness. The wonderful game of golf. It truly is a test. Golf is an astounding sport and tests every ounce of the human body and mind. I stumbled across the game about 7 years ago while in college and I haven't stopped since. The game of golf is intoxicating, once you have it in you can't shake it. You will continuously look for ways to improve your game. You want to be sure that you do things right from the beginning. This includes everything from the simple swing to the art of putting. I strongly suggest taking lessons from a golf pro. Every golf course has one that is qualified to instruct. They can help with every aspect of the game. Lessons can be very costly so make sure that golf is something that you really want to devote time and money to. I also encourage reading as many books as possible for rules, golf etiquette, and golf techniques or tips. This is a low cost way to help with the basics of golf. I read many books online, I found them to be cost affective and a good way to understand the golf swing and the mechanics behind it. After reading a couple of books I would signup for an actual lesson, so I would understand the basics before actually using them or practicing them. You want to make sure you are doing everything correctly. Golf is a wonderful sport and can be shared with the whole family. It doesn't matter if you are a girl or a boy, a grandma or a grandpa. The game can be played by all and can be enjoyed for a lifetime. So get out there learn about the game and enjoy yourself.
